Suhana Khan to Aarav: Bollywood star kids are sporting the trend

Their fathers might be portraying the roles of sportspersons on screen, but these young ones are sporty in real life. Children of Bollywood A-listers have taken to one or more sports and the fathers don’t shy away from showing their kids’ achievements online.

Actor Akshay Kumar had recently posted pictures of his son Aarav in blue coloured martial arts uniform, sporting a black belt. A martial arts exponent himself, Akshay is sure proud of his son’s achievements. But he is not an exception. Bollywood star kids are now increasingly showing an interest in sports:

1. Akshay Kumar’s son Aarav (13)

When the proud father posted a picture of his son, he couldn’t help write: “It’s a ‪#‎SonDay‬ all the way! Honestly I can’t express my happiness, I’ve received the best gift ever today. My son started training when he was just four years old. And today, after nine years of hard work he got his 1st degree black belt in Kudo, Okinawa and Goju Ryu Karate Do!”

2. Actor Shah Rukh Khan’s daughter Suhana (16)

SRK’s son Aryan Khan (18) is known to practise Taekwondo and has also won several competitions. His daughter Suhana has often been clicked in the past playing football and heading her school’s junior football team. Though Suhana has been in news of late for her party pics, her inclination towards sports goes long back. She says she learnt taekwondo after watching her brother. She is also known to have a keen interest in athletics, but football is dearest to her.

SRK had earlier tweeted a picture and written: “Son and daughter won gold in taekwondo nationals. Suhana was like a newcomer (aggressive)...Aryan fought like a thespian (technical)” .

3. Saif Ali Khan’s son Ibrahim Khan (15)

Ibrahim has been in news for having many a follower on Instagram, but he is also known to be active in sports and loves to swim. The young lad has uploaded a video in Instagram capturing his cool somersaults before landing into the pool. Is there a swimmer in the making?

4. Aamir Khan’s son Junaid (23)

Junaid might have joined the bandwagon of star kids turning assistant directors. But this doesn’t take away from his interest in sports such as cricket and soccer. During the time Aamir was promoting his show Satyamev Jayate, Junaid even organised a cricket tournament for the physically challenged.

5. Imtiaz Ali’s daughter Ida Ali (15)

Ida has been playing soccer for quite some time. She often used to chat about soccer with none other than Ranbir Kapoor, when her father was shooting with the actor for Tamasha, in Corsica. She was also spotted at a football match event, as part of the promotions of her uncle Arif Ali’s directorial debut, Lekar Hum Deewana Dil, where she teamed up with her father and Ranbir Kapoor for the match.

6. Riteish Deshmukh’s son Riaan (1.5 years)

Riteish Deshmukh recently uploaded a picture of his one and a half year old son Riaan at the tennis court.
