If not a singer, what youʼd have been?
An RJ or a cook — because if I can’t make music, then I’d rather play it for the rest of the world. Also, I’m a foodie and enjoy making people happy through my cooking.
A song thatʼs on loop in your head right now:
24K Magic by Bruno Mars.
A Hollywood star youʼd like to lend your voice to:
Will Smith
A singer you love listening to:
Michael Jackson.
Your favourite Bollywood song that you lent your voice to is...
Kaise Mujhe Tum Mil Gayi from Ghajini (2008). I really love that song.
If you were stranded on an island whom would you want to be with?
My wife!
At a party, you would be seen nibbling on...
I don’t eat much at parties. I drink water.
A customised cocktail for you would contain...
Water. My favourite cocktail is called H2O. We can probably have it with some ice cubes and cucumber!
Which is that one thing that you never leave your house without?
My spectacles!
Abu Dhabi or Kerala, where do you prefer to unwind and why?
I don’t mind both. Abu Dhabi because I spent my childhood there and Kerala, for its weather and amazing food.
A song or roses, what would you pick to please your wife and why?
Roses. My wife loves flowers and loves being showered with them.
Instagram or Snapchat, which is your go-to app and why?
Instagram, because it’s easy and fun.
How would you describe your music in three words?
On the go.
If there was an earthquake, what is the one thing that youʼd save and why?
I’d save my family because what’s life without family!
If there was one thing you could change about the Indian music industry, what would it be?
The remixes, I’d do away with them. I think the more original the music, the more the industry grows.
Your advice to budding singers would be...?
Do what makes you happy.
My favourites:
Movie: The Shawshank Redemption (1994)
Holiday destination: Maldives
Drink: Water
Book: Calvin and Hobbes
Food: Kerala biryani
