This letter comes ahead of the crucial extraordinary general meeting (EGM) called on December 21 to remove him as director.

Wadia, in his 15-page letter has levelled strong charges against the Tatas. According to the letter, he had strongly opposed the acquisition of Corus, to the cross holding of Tata Steel in various group companies to indirectly give Tata Sons increased control.

A Tata Sons spokesperson said that the group will respond to Wadia’s charges, if it has to.
