MUMBAI: Jaiprakash Power Ventures Ltd will sell a 500-MW thermal power plant at Bina in Madhya Pradesh to JSW Energy for ₹2,700 ($402 million) including debt, both companies said on Monday. The companies signed an MoU for the deal in September. Indebted companies, especially in power and infrastructure, have been trying to offload assets to pay down debt that has been holding them back from investing in new projects.
