On the same day the court will rule on the bail petition of his brother and ex-MD B Rama Raju and the petition of CB-CID seeking the custody of Gopalakrishna Raju, former general manager of SRSR Advisory Services.

The public prosecutor opposed bail to Raju and Srinivas, saying there was fear of their tampering the evidence once enlarged on bail.

"If this can be done while (they are) in custody, there is no guarantee that evidence will not be tampered with when they are on bail," the prosecutors told the court.

Rajus` lawyers contested the prosecution's charge that evidence was being tampered with, saying that all documents have been seized by the investigating agencies and there was nothing to be tampered with.

They submitted that all three accused were cooperating with investigating agencies and would continue to do so even while on bail.
