CEO Clubs, an exclusive club for chief executives worldwide, will launch its new chapter in India's IT hub on Monday to create a platform for interaction and exchange of ideas for its members running global enterprises.
To mark the occasion, the Bangalore chapter of CEO Clubs India, the second in the country after the Delhi chapter, will organise a panel discussion on the impact of global recession and what difference such a club will make to Indian chief executives of diverse enterprises and corporates.
"The Bangalore chapter of the CEO Clubs India will be launched on Monday in the presence of its founder-president Joseph (Joe) Mancuso, Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa and select chief executives and managing directors of India Inc and multinationals," a spokesperson of the chapter told IANS.
Kirloskar Electric chairman and managing director Vijay R Kirloskar and KPMG India member Pradeep Kanakia are advisory board members of the Bangalore chapter.
India's low-cost aviation pioneer Captain GR Gopinath, who founded Air Deccan, will moderate a panel discussion on the occasion.
Gopinath contested as an independent from the high-profile Bangalore South Lok Sabha constituency in the ongoing general elections. Polling is over in Bangalore.
Founded in 1977, the New York-based CEO Clubs is dedicated to improving the quality and profitability of its members' enterprises through shared experiences and personal growth.
The non-profit CEO Clubs has about 40,000 chief executives and entrepreneurs.
It went international in 1978 and has multiple chapters in China, the Philippines, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Malaysia, Singapore, Saudi Arabia, South Korea and Vietnam.
"Members of the CEO Clubs on an average run businesses with about $2 million of annual sales and seek to grow their businesses by exchanging ideas with peers," according to the organisation's web site.
