India's No 2 software exporter Infosys Technologies Ltd said on Saturday it planned to invest 3.06 billion rupees ($75.2 million) to set up a campus in the southern India city of Thiruvananthapuram in Kerala state.
The development centre would have a seating capacity of 8,000 over the next few years, co-founder and member of the Infosys board, K Dinesh said in a statement. It will be able to seat 1,500 people over the next year.
Infosys has an existing facility in the city with a capacity of 1,100 seats and in which it has already invested 300 million rupees as of March 31, 2007, the statement said.
