Rel Infra buys back Rs 795 cr equities

Anil Dhirubhai Ambani group firm Reliance Infrastructure said the company has bought back shares worth Rs 795.53 crore from existing shareholders.

Anil Dhirubhai Ambani group firm Reliance Infrastructure on Tuesday said the company has bought back shares worth Rs 795.53 crore from existing shareholders.

The company has bought back 87.60 lakh shares for Rs 795.53 crore and decided to close the offer, Reliance Infrastructure said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.

In March last year, the board had approved a buyback offer worth Rs 800.06 crore and accordingly it bought back 87.60 lakh shares worth Rs 795.53 crore from the market.

"Having almost exhausted the above limit, the company has decided to close the buyback of equity shares on February 06, 2009," Reliance Infra added.
