TVS sales up, profit again

The country's third largest two-wheeler manufacturer TVS Motor reported a net profit of Rs 23.5 crore for the Oct-Dec 2009 quarter against a loss of Rs 96 lakh in the same period the previous year. Revenues in the quarter grew 25 per cent to Rs 1,089.5 crore from Rs 868.7 crore.

Revenues rose on the back of higher sales, which grew 21.7 per cent in the quarter. The company sold 3.72 lakh units against 3.06 lakh units sold last year.
