Honda unveils Dio 125 X Edition with fresh styling, no mechanical changes
Honda has introduced the Dio 125 X Edition in India with dual-tone panels and new graphics, while retaining the same engine and hardware as the H-Smart trim.

Honda has unveiled a new X Edition of the Dio 125 for the Indian market, adding a cosmetic refresh to its 125 cc scooter lineup. The update does not bring any mechanical or hardware changes and is positioned as a style-focused variant of the existing Dio 125. Prices are yet to be announced.
Cosmetic updates only
The X Edition features dual-tone body panels, revised graphics and X Edition decals that differentiate it visually from the standard trims. Apart from these exterior updates, the scooter remains identical to the H-Smart variant in terms of specifications, features and powertrain.
Powering the Dio 125 X Edition is the same 123.92 cc, single-cylinder, four-stroke, SI engine. It produces 8.1 hp at 6,500 rpm and 10.5 Nm of torque at 5,000 rpm. There are no changes to engine tuning, transmission or fuel efficiency figures.
Features carried over from H-Smart trim
In terms of features, the scooter continues to offer a TFT screen display, a side-stand cut-off function and an idle stop-start system. These features are already available on the higher trims of the Dio 125 and carry over unchanged to the X Edition.
The braking setup remains the same, with a 190 mm front disc brake and a 130 mm rear drum brake. Tyres include a 90/90-12 tubeless unit at the front and a 90/100-10 tubeless tyre at the rear. Suspension duties are handled by telescopic forks up front and a three-step adjustable spring-loaded hydraulic unit at the rear.

Dimensions and hardware unchanged
Dimensionally, the scooter measures 1,830 mm in length, 707 mm in width and 1,172 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 1,260 mm. Ground clearance stands at 171 mm, while seat length is rated at 708 mm. The kerb weight of the X Edition is listed at 105 kg. Fuel tank capacity remains unchanged at 5.3 litres. Pricing details are expected to be in line with the existing premium trims of the Dio 125.
