To follow in the footsteps of its ICE-powered counterpart, the EV will carry a refreshed design that brings a sharper, more assertive on-road demeanour to maintain its appeal in the sub-4m EV segment. While the major chunk of the changes will focus on the visuals, we expect to see minor but significant feature upgrades with the new model. The upcoming Punch EV facelift is expected to bring a larger infotainment display carried over from the Nexon EV. This is a 12.3-inch touchscreen unit, which will be a significant upgrade over the 10.24-inch infotainment that is fitted in the outgoing model. It will allow for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, while bringing a fresh UI. Additionally, Tata may pair it with a new premium audio system from Dolby Atmos in the top-spec variants.

Refreshed interiors and powered driver’s seat
The Punch EV brings ventilated front seats, but it does end up missing out on a powered driver’s seat. This is expected to change with the facelift, which will further retain features such as an electric sunroof, wireless charger, and touch-based HVAC controls.
The cabin will carry minimal changes, and although it is likely to retain its dual-tone theme, we should see new upholstery materials and a tweaked dashboard layout for a renewed appeal.
ADAS

On the safety front, the Punch EV will retain its 5-star credentials but is expected to add Level-2 ADAS to its kit. This will be a major addition and could include features such as lane-keeping aids, adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, front collision warnings, and more.
Software-defined features
Tata is expected to bring new software-defined features with the Punch EV facelift. These may include enhanced connected car tech, digital key support and more app-based controls.
