Seeking a probe into the incident for the role of the SAD cadres, Bajwa said it was unfortunate that they joined the police to beat up the protesting linemen in the presence of chief minister Parkash Singh Badal, deputy chief minister Sukhbir Singh Badal and MP. Harsimrat Kaur Badal.

He said the SAD workers were instigated by their leaders to beat up the unemployed linemen who had reached there to raise their grievances. Instead of listening to the grievances, the chief minister ordered to shoo them away, Bajwa stated.
