Congress president Sonia Gandhi has appointed Barnala MLA Kewal Singh Dhillon as the All India Congress Committee (AICC) observer for the Maharashtra assembly elections.

In a statement here, Dhillon, vice-president of the Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee (PPCC), thanked Sonia Gandhi for giving him this assignment.
