Former Punjab minister Raja Narinder Singh dies

Former Punjab cabinet minister Raja Narinder Singh died today morning at his residence in Nabha after prolonged illness. Singh was minister for Public Health and Civil Aviation in 1997 under Parkash Singh Badal government.

Former cabinet minister of state government Raja Narinder Singh died today morning at his residence in Nabha after prolonged illness.

Singh, who belonged to Rangal Nangal village in Gurdaspur District, had unsuccessfully contested from Nabha constituency for the first time in 1962.

However, came back to win the elections and remained MLA for four times in 1967, 1969, 1985 and 1997.

He was also minister for Public Health and Civil Aviation in the 1997 under Parkash Singh Badal government.

As per family sources, his cremation is expected to be held in Nabha at 11 am tomorrow morning.
