Haryana ministers approve of firm action against protesters

Haryana ministers which met in Chandigarh on Sunday for an unexpectedly convened meeting were told to earnestly implement the flagship programmes and schemes approved in the 2012-13 Budget to ensure inclusive development and growth.

Haryana ministers which met in Chandigarh on Sunday for an unexpectedly convened meeting were told to earnestly implement the flagship programmes and schemes approved in the 2012-13 Budget to ensure inclusive development and growth.

The Council of Ministers which met under the chairmanship of chief minister, Bhupinder Singh Hooda also took note of the prevailing law and order situation in the state in the backdrop of Jat agitation.

It also noted the talks held with the representatives of the agitators. While taking stock of these developments, the cabinet approved the action taken so far and directed that the entire situation should be handled with tact and firmness.

The Cabinet also decided to give special emphasis to schemes relating to development of youth in view of the state government's declaration of year 2012 as the Year of the Youth.
