Industrial consumers told to clear outstanding water and sewerage bills

Industry and commerce minister Anil Joshi on Monday advised all industrial consumers to deposit the outstanding water and sewerage bills within a month as after that the government would be forced to levy surcharge and penalty on them.

Announcing this, an official spokesman of the state government said the industry minister had earlier waived surcharge and penalty imposed on outstanding bills till March 31, but despite the gesture, many industrialists had failed to deposit the bill by the due date.
