An internal inquiry report of the Government Medical College and Hospital-32 has confirmed that immoral activities were going on at its guest house but has given a clean chit to the employees and doctors.
According the inquiry report, which was submitted to director-principal Dr Atul Sachdev recently, on March 27, when two senior officials from the hospital visited the guest house, an unidentified couple had trespassed the guest house and when the officials tried to enquire from them why they were there, they immediately left the place.
The inquiry committee found that the room was booked in the name of a doctor working in the psychiatry department of the hospital. “However, when it was cross checked, it was found that booking as well as entry were fake,” the report said.
However, the inquiry report also found that guest house caretaker, Murari, booked the room on his own. “It has been established that Murari has been booking rooms unofficially on his own,” the inquiry report found.
Hindustan Times in its edition on April 3 had reported that how in connivance with a few officials of the college, a guest house of GMCH located in Sector 48 was being misused for immoral activities.
The director-principal of the institute recently received complaints regarding the misuse of the guest house by some officials of the hospital and a few outsiders. Sources revealed that complainant had also sent some pictures as proof with the complaint.
Following that director Dr Atul Sachdev directed senior officials to conduct a thorough inquiry into the case.
