Men arrested for misbehaving with woman

A woman was allegedly misbehaved with and attempts were made to outrage her modesty at a Sector 10-based salon here on Friday. According to police officials, the victim alleged that two men passed lewd remarks and tried to touch her at the salon.

According to police officials, the victim alleged that two men passed lewd remarks and tried to touch her at the salon. The duo was identified as Jaswinder alias Jassi of SAS Nagar and Ankur, a resident of Sector 23. They also reportedly threatened the victim before leaving the salon.

A case of outraging modesty of a woman and criminal intimidation was registered under Sections 354 and 503 under the Indian Penal Code (IPC) at the Sector-3 police station, following which the duo was arrested.
