Minister, officials to inspect govt hospitals

Senior health officials would start inspecting all government hospitals in the state from October 21. Principal secretary, health and family welfare, Punjab, Vini Mahajan issued the orders on Tuesday. She said health and family welfare minister Surjit Kumar Jyani and senior officials of the department would visit hospitals across the state. Mahajan has also directed civil surgeons and senior medical officers (SMOs) to ensure attendance of doctors and supporting staff in government hospitals.
