Patients who underwent knee replacements do jig at "Friends of Fortis Meet"

Fortis Hospital, SAS Nagar, organised "Friends of Fortis Meet"in city on Wednesday. Over 500 senior citizens participated in the meet. The event was organised by the orthopaedics department of Fortis Hospital.

The event was organised by the orthopaedics department of Fortis Hospital. The function was supported by the Railway Senior Citizens Welfare Association and Para Military Force Retired Personnel Association.

Local member of Parliament (MP) Pawan Bansal was the chief guest while the guest of honour was Punjabi singer Pammi Bai. Dr Harsimran Singh, director, Department of Orthopedics & Joint Replacement, Fortis Hospital, SAS Nagar, addressed the audience and spoke about the latest advancements and benefits of joint replacements.

The main attraction of the function was "bhangra with a difference"as patients, who had undergone hip and knee replacements presented an energetic bhangra and giddha to express their happiness after getting advanced treatment at Fortis.

Dressed in traditional attire, the performers, a majority of them in their mid 50s and 60s, had words of praise for the latest advancements in the medical sciences. MP Bansal and Pammi Bai also joined in the revelry and shook a leg with the participants.
