Stating this, Manjit Singh Narang, managing director, PRTC, said this transport service would be fully operational by September.

He added that in an effort to upgrade its fleet of mini-buses, PRTC had started identifying routes and would initiate the process to purchase vehicles accordingly.

These buses will provide transport services to villages situated in a radius of 15-25 km from major cities of the Malwa region. PRTC has already acquired the necessary permits, Narang said, adding that he had already ordered district roadways general managers to identify routes for mini-buses.
