Stating this on Tuesday, a spokesperson of the vigilance department said written instructions in this regard had been issued to all heads of departments.

He said departments had been instructed to report all such cases where an employee had taken three months' ex-India leave and subsequently the leave was extended for more than three years, without any break.

Information regarding all those government employees has also been sought who have possessed permanent residency or green card of a foreign country.

The spokesperson said senior officers of all departments had been directed to examine passports of all such employees before furnishing information. He said requisite information must be supported by the names and designations of employees.
