Situation remained tense in Hisar on Saturday as 2000 Haryana police commandos cordon off the ashram to arrest self-styled godman Sant Rampal.

Meanwhile, the district schools have also been shut down for three days. Also supply of milk and vegetables to the ashram have been snapped.

On Friday, the district administration disconnected the supply of electricity and water to the ashram where Rampal’s supporters have formed a human shield around him.

After the Supreme Court denied bail to Rampal, the police have raised barricades around the place where almost 1-lakh people are gathered to resist any attempt to arrest Rampal even though the Punjab and Haryana high court wants him.
