Swine flu: First case reported in Himachal

The first swine flu case of this season was reported in Himachal Pradesh after the sample of a Kangra patient tested positive for H1N1 virus.

The first swine flu case of this season was reported in Himachal Pradesh after the sample of a Kangra patient tested positive for H1N1 virus.

The sample was sent to Indira Gandhi Medical College (IGMC) here by Dr Rajendra Prasad Medical College, Tanda.
The victim is a 59-year-old woman, a resident of Alampur in Kangra district. Her name was not revealed.

IGMC senior medical superintendent Ramesh Chand confirmed that a sample sent by the Tanda college had tested positive for swine flu.
