Three booked under narcotics act

Police on Thursday arrested three people here for possessing charas. The accused, Duglesh Kumar (27) of Chhalal village here, was on his way toward Manikaran when the police on patrolling duty detained him and recovered 193 gm charas.

Another accused, Shad Najir (19) and Raghav (19) of Hyderabad, were arrested at Bajaura check post when police detained the bus for a routine checking and recovered 1.2 kg charas, 332 pieces of LSD and `55,000 currency. Cases under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act have been registered against the three. Further investigation is going on.
