The victim, Suman Negi said they had repeatedly complained to the Municipal Corporation (MC) about the inconvenience caused by monkeys but no steps had been taken. "The authorities refuse to take the issue seriously and pay no heed to our concerns,"she said.

Mayor Poonam Sharma said they were working out modalities to come up with a concrete solution to the problem of stray monkeys, particularly in Sector 27.
