The Central Crime Branch of Bengaluru along with central agencies have detained a terror suspect in Tilak Nagar of South Bengaluru, reported the Deccan Herald. The accused is identified as Akthar Hussian who belongs to Assam and primary investigation is going on.

According to the report, Akthar came to Bengaluru seven months ago and started working as a delivery partner at an online food delivery app. It is also reported that man was attracted to various terror activities and he has been in constantly touch with members of a banned terror outfit through the social media. He had also allegedly shown his interest towards jihad and he even planned to join an outfit in Jammu and Kashmir soon, reported the publication.
However, police have seized his mobile phone and they are questioning him further to get more information.
Akthar lived with three other roommates at a building in Tilak Nagar where police detained him. On Sunday evening, around 30 police personnel raided the house of Akthar and detained him. They have even conducted a search at his house for an hour and reportedly found evidence to nab the accused.
The report also says that police got a tip off around a week ago and the movements of the accused have been tracked from then. The police are also questioning the other roommates of Akthar to find out more details of his activities.
However, neither the Central Crime Branch nor Bengaluru police have made any official statement about the operation and other details of the suspect.
