Agarsain Jayanti: Holiday in Chandigarh on Sept 26

September 26 (Monday) will be observed as a gazetted holiday in all Chandigarh administration offices on account of Agarsain Jayanti

The Chandigarh administration has declared September 26 (Monday) as a gazetted holiday on account of Agarsain Jayanti.

A UT spokesman said September 26 will be observed as a public holiday in all government offices, boards, corporations and institutions, including industrial establishments, under the Chandigarh administration.

RLA reschedules appointments

In view of the holiday, the Registering and Licensing Authority (RLA) has deferred all September 26 appointments for submission of files.

Now, these applicants will be attended to alphabetically between September 27 and October 3.

As per the new schedule, applicants whose names start with alphabets “A to C” can visit the RLA office in Sector 17 on September 27, “D to J” on September 28, “K to O” on September 29, “P to R” on September 30 and “S to Z” October 3. No applicant will be entertained outside this schedule.
