Rashid’s father was shifted from SMHS Hospital, Srinagar to AIIMS, Delhi on Sunday afternoon.
Party’s chief spokesperson Inam Un Nabi said that court-imposed restrictions limiting the party chief Er Rashid’s movement strictly between his Jawahir Nagar residence and SMHS Hospital made it impossible for him to travel further, forcing him to remain behind when his presence was most needed. “It is a painful situation where a son, despite being so close, was unable to be by his father’s side due to circumstances beyond his control,” he said.
Inam Un Nabi said that Khazir Mohammad Sheikh was shifted to AIIMS Delhi late this afternoon on medical advice, considering the seriousness of his condition.
The AIP spokesperson said the party will approach the HC on Monday, seeking permission for the MP to stay with his father in Delhi. “This is purely a humanitarian matter and deserves urgent consideration,” he said.
