"There are several pictures of Amritpal Singh in different attires. We are releasing all of these pictures. I request you display them so that people can help us to arrest him in this case," Punjab inspector general of police (IGP) Sukhchain Singh Gill said.

The Punjab Police have said that the radical preacher changed his clothes and switched from a Brezza car to a motorcycle to escape arrest. According to the police, he managed to give the police chasing him a slip in Mehatpur in a Brezza car which has now been recovered. Amritpal Singh stayed in a gurdwara before changing his attire and fleeing on a motorcycle. Four people who helped him escape have been arrested.

On Monday, the Punjab Police had said that Amritpal Singh was trying to form a milita called ‘Anandpur Khalsa Fauj’, this after ‘AKF’ initials were found inscribed on the gate of his residence. The cops also recovered bulletproof jackets and guns from his house.

Amritpal Singh's uncle and driver have already surrendered and have been taken to Dibrugarh in Assam. According to the police, the preacher was helped by his uncle to take over the reins of ‘Waris Punjab De’ outfit after its founder Deep Sidhu died in a road accident last year.

According to an intelligence official, Amritpal Singh was offered money by Pakistan's intelligence agency ISI in Dubai. The money offered was part of a deep rooted conspiracy to revive terrorism in Punjab. Amritpal Singh was sent to Georgia for training by the Pakistani agency before his flight to India.
