Haryana releases ₹32 crore to pvt schools for EWS, BPL student fees

Education minister Mahipal Dhanda says the grant covers seven districts, ensuring no child is deprived of schooling due to financial constraints

Haryana education minister Mahipal Dhanda on Tuesday announced that the state government has released approximately ₹32 crore to reimburse the fees of students from economically weaker sections (EWS) and below poverty line (BPL) categories enrolled in private schools.

Dhanda said the move is part of the state’s inclusive education policy, aimed at ensuring quality schooling for underprivileged students while providing timely financial support to private institutions.

“The government’s objective is to ensure that no child is deprived of education due to financial constraints,” the minister said, adding the department will continue to implement such schemes with transparency to promote social equality.
