Mercury is seeing a steady rise in the city with the maximum temperature going up from 30.6°C on Sunday to 32°C on Monday, 4.5°C above normal. It has risen by four notches in the past four days, as on Friday, the maximum temperature was 28.1°C.

Speaking about this, India Meteorological Department officials said, “A dry spell is going on in the region and temperature is likely to increase further. It can go as high as 35°C by the weekend.”
The minimum temperature also increased slightly from 16.6°C on Sunday to 16.7°C on Monday, 4.3°C above normal. In the next three days, the maximum temperature will remain between 33°C and 34°C while minimum temperature will remain between 19°C and 20°C.
