20-year-old woman injured after ‘jump’ from 4th floor in Shahdara
“She had sustained several injuries and was immediately taken to the hospital. During inquiry, we found that there was no foul play. The woman, a resident of Sunder Nagri area, is seen jumping from the floor. She had checked into the hotel on the same day with a 22-year-old male friend,” deputy commissioner of police (Shahdara) Prashant Gautam said.
A 20-year-old woman allegedly jumped from the fourth floor of a hotel in northeast Delhi’s Shahdara on Friday in an attempt to die by suicide, police said, adding that she is undergoing treatment at a hospital.

According to police, they were informed about the incident at around 1pm.
“She had sustained several injuries and was immediately taken to the hospital. During inquiry, we found that there was no foul play. The woman, a resident of Sunder Nagri area, is seen jumping from the floor. She had checked into the hotel on the same day with a 22-year-old male friend,” deputy commissioner of police (Shahdara) Prashant Gautam said.
The man is a resident of Bulandshahr and had come to meet the woman. He allegedly told police that they both had a fight, after which the woman jumped off the window in anger.
“She has been taken to hospital where she is under treatment. Enquiry is being conducted for appropriate police action,” said the DCP.
