Delhi district court lawyers to abstain from work on Tuesday
The decision by the bar body follows allegations that a senior police officer displayed his revolver and threatened advocates.
Lawyers across Delhi’s district courts will abstain from judicial work on Tuesday in protest against alleged police high-handedness towards advocates who had approached Shahdara police station over an assault on a fellow lawyer, the Coordination Committee of All District Courts Bar Associations of Delhi said on Monday.

The decision by the bar body follows allegations that a senior police officer displayed his revolver and threatened advocates who had visited the police station to seek action in the assault case.
The committee, in a resolution passed on Monday, has demanded the immediate suspension of the officer and the concerned station house officer (SHO), pending an impartial inquiry into the incident.
