Responding to the viral video, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) requested passengers to be responsible and asked fellow commuters to report unruly incidents by sharing more details. In a statement, one of India's busiest metro networks said, "We request that commuters conduct themselves responsibly while travelling by Metro. If the other commuters notice any objectionable behaviour, they should immediately report the matter on the DMRC Helpline, detailing the corridor, station, time, etc.

As per media reports, the fight occurred on the violet line between Raja Nahar Singh and Kashmiri Gate stations. The Violet Line or Line 6 is the only route that connects three cities—Delhi, Faridabad, and Ballabhgarh and has 32 metro stations. The reason that ignited the fight still remains unclear.

Despite the Delhi Metro’s multiple warnings, this scuffle is the latest in a series of strange behaviour displayed in the coaches of the public transport. Netizens reacted to the videos with memes and disbelief.

The video evoked mixed reactions from social media users. One person wrote, "enjoyment for all ages is available in DMRC," alluding to the several other bizarre incidents caught on cam inside Delhi Metro coaches.
