Delhi Police bust interstate gunrunning syndicate, six arrested
Delhi Police arrested six in a gunrunning syndicate, recovering 26 pistols, 8 cartridges, and more. Investigation continues to find additional members.
The Delhi Police Special Cell on Friday claimed to have busted an interstate gunrunning syndicate after arresting six alleged members and recovering 26 pistols and eight cartridges.

The syndicate procured illegal firearms from Madhya Pradesh’s Burhanpur and Khargone districts and supplied them to the Manjeet Mahal, Gogi and Randeep Bhati gangs, said deputy commissioner of police (Special Cell) Narra Chaitanya. He added that six mobile phones and three vehicles allegedly used in firearms trafficking were also recovered.
The arrested men were identified as Ravi Kumar, 38; Sunil Tanwar, 33; Yogesh Singh, 32; Rajat alias Rajju, 27; Saurabh, 27; and Nikhil, 21. The accused were arrested between May 22 and 24.
A case was registered in connection with the arrests and the recovery of the illegal firearms. The Special Cell is further investigating the case to identify and apprehend other members of the syndicate operating in Delhi-NCR and Madhya Pradesh, police officers familiar with the matter said.
