Gurugram: Unidentified suspects were booked for allegedly stabbing a man to death with a knife adjacent to a school near Kamla Nehru Park in Sector 12, police said on Sunday.

Police said the deceased, aged around 30-32 years, was stabbed a few times in the neck, which resulted in his death. They said that the body, wrapped in a blood-soaked blanket, was found lying outside the school premises.
Investigators said that a street vendor was the first to spot the body at about 8.30am on January 31 after which he had alerted a police control room.
Police said the identity of the deceased is yet to be ascertained, adding that the suspects remain unidentified.
Investigators said that initially it was not clear how the victim had died, but on Friday, they received the post-mortem report in which it was made clear that he died of stab injuries in the neck.
“Immediately, an FIR was registered on the basis of a complaint by sub-inspector Yogender Singh against unidentified suspects under Section 34 (common intention) and 302 (murder) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) at Civil Lines police station on Friday night”, said a police officer.
Investigators said that the vendor told them in the course of investigation that the deceased person was allegedly involved in drug abuse and had been spotted roaming in the area in an intoxicated state on several occasions. Police said they suspect that more than one person was involved in the murder.
Rajender Singh, assistant commissioner of police (City), said they have identified the suspects who had stabbed the man to death. “We have an eyewitness who had spotted the suspects and the deceased involved in a scuffle at about 3am on January 31. The suspects wanted to snatch money from the deceased,” he said.
ACP Singh said the suspects are also drug addicts and they wanted to snatch money for purchasing psychotropic substances.
Subhash Boken, public relations officer of the Gurugram police, said the suspects involved in the murder will be arrested soon.
