JMB’s Nasirullah, responsible for Burdwan blast, held in Bangladesh

Nasirullah, set up JMB’s Indian wing in 2009 and recruited people for his sleeper cells in West Bengal till 2014.

Hunted by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) since 2014 and carrying a reward of Rs 10 lakh on his head in India, Sohail Mehfuz alias Nasirullah, was arrested by the Dhaka police’s counter-terrorism wing from north-west Bangladesh on Saturday. He recently set up a terrorist outfit in that country and named it Islamic State Bangladesh.

Sources in the West Bengal police indicated that an NIA team is scheduled to visit Dhaka in connection with his crimes In India.
