AMC kicks off biennial meet, reunion in Lucknow
The biennial conference deliberates on topics having significant impact on the functioning of the Corps
The Army Medical Corps (AMC) inaugurated their 13th Reunion Ceremony and began their 56th Biennial Conference at the Surya Auditorium here, on Wednesday.
The conference deliberates on topics having significant impact on the functioning of the Corps, ranging from incorporation of advancing technology, revolution in military medical practices and automation to image management, communication skills of healthcare workers, legal aspects of healthcare, and more.
Medical practices and services in the field have undergone significant changes and improvements over the past few years, and currently the Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS) has more than 230 hospitals and field hospitals across the country.
Advanced medical diagnostic modalities for field medical units and hospitals have also been introduced over the years to make these hospitals state of the art facilities for their clientele.
The guest of honour for the inaugural ceremony was Lt Gen Vivek Kashyap of HQ Central Command, and the keynote address was delivered by Lt Gen Daljit Singh, senior colonel commandant, AMC. The event was also graced by senior officers of the AMC and AFMS as well as military veterans.
