GORAKHPUR Chief minister Yogi Adityanath said here on Sunday that his government was for solution of problems and oppression would not be tolerated at any cost .He directed the officials to send criminals behind bars and provide all assistance to the needy and weaker sections of society. He also reviewed progress of various development projects and directed officials to expedite them.

Before leaving for Varanasi on Sunday morning, on the last day of his visit, the chief minister, who was listening to people’s grievances at Hindu Sewa Ashram at Gorakhnath temple, directed the officials that no one should be allowed to pursue arbitrary attitude and justice should be assured to every citizen. He instructed authorities to ensure that benefits of government welfare schemes reached those who were entitled.
Yogi listened to around 250 applicants and directed the officials for speedy redressal of their grievances. Most of the complaints were regarding land disputes.
Earlier on Saturday evening, the chief minister analysed the progress in development of projects and directed the officials to complete them within the given time frame. He said that in the past 14 days, Gorakhpur had received development projects worth ₹3000 crores and warned officials to maintain quality as per norms.
During review meetings, Gorakhpur Development Authority officials placed progress report about construction of world class convention centre before the CM. It is notable that the international level convention centre at Gorakhpur is another dream project of chief minister Yogi Adityanath.
In his earlier visit in November, the CM had asked the authorities to select the land to be acquired for the convention centre. He had reviewed the progress of under-construction Ayush University, new building of district collectorate and the proposed army school.
