U.P: Panel okays complainant firm’s solar power project

The Uttar Pradesh government’s high-level committee has approved SAEL Solar P6 Private Limited’s solar power project. The company had filed a complaint that led to the suspension of Invest UP CEO Abhishek Prakash on March 20.

“Yes, the high-level committee has given the go-ahead to the project. The committee’s recommendation will be placed before the state cabinet for approval,” a senior officer said. The company’s solar power project reportedly involves an investment of ₹8000 crore.
Invest UP’s evaluation committee presided over Abhishek Prakash on March 12 considered the SAEL Solar P6 Private Limited’s solar power project for making a recommendation to the high-level committee for issuing a letter of comfort to the company. There are, however, contradictions in the note sheet on the file about the applicant’s case and the approved minutes of the evaluation committee meeting.
