Mumbai: The Mumbai Police’s Anti-Narcotics Cell (ANC) on Sunday destroyed 1,275kg of seized narcotic substances, including 5,606 bottles of codeine syrup, collectively valued at around ₹665 crore.
ANC Destroys ₹665-Crore Drugs
The contraband, seized in cases registered under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, included cocaine, mephedrone (MD), ganja, charas, heroin, ephedrine powder and hydroponic ganja. After completing the required legal formalities, the seized drugs were incinerated in a closed furnace at Resustainability Limited, a Maharashtra government-approved facility in MIDC, Taloja.
