Noida: A 22-year-old woman died after allegedly falling from Gulshan Vivante residential building in Sector 137, Noida, on Friday night, police said on Saturday.

Housekeeper dies at Sector 137 high-rise, police suspect suicide

According to police, the woman worked as a housekeeper for a family living in the building. She left the apartment at around 8 pm, following which she allegedly fell from the building. The exact floor has not yet been ascertained, they added.

“Preliminary investigation suggests that she might have died by suicide. No suicide note has been found,” said Vinod Kumar Mishra, station house officer (SHO) of Sector 142 police station.

Mishra said the woman may have gone to the terrace as it is accessible to all. Officials said they could not establish her exact movements inside the building because some CCTV cameras were not functioning.

Police said the woman had moved to Noida from Amroha around two to three years ago and lived near the building.

Forensic teams reached the spot after being informed about the incident and inspected the scene, police said.

An inquest report was prepared, and the body was sent for a post-mortem examination, police said. Further legal proceedings are underway.
