Pune City Crime Branch’s Anti-Robbery and Vehicle Theft Squad (Zone I) on Tuesday arrested a 42-year-old man, who had been evading arrest for the past three months in an attempt-to-murder case registered under the Arms Act and the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) at the Kothrud police station. The accused was identified as Pintusingh Ranbirsingh Dudhani, 42, a resident of Ambedkar Nagar, Market Yard.

A police team, conducting searches for absconding accused and history sheeters, was tipped off that Dudhani was in Solapur. The team along with Solapur police personnel traced the accused to Tale Hippargi and took him into custody. During questioning, he admitted to his involvement in the Kothrud case.
Additional commissioner of police (crime) Tejaswi Satpute said, “The arrest is part of crime branch’s efforts to trace accused persons who remain at large in serious criminal cases and bring them before the appropriate authorities for further investigation and prosecution.”
