No hat-trick! Yorker attempted by Prenelan but it comes out as a full toss, on middle. Bernard Scholtz gets behind the line and pats it away to long on for a single.

OUT! CLEANED HIM UP! Two in two for Prenelan Subrayen. Prenelan pushes it through once again, very full, almost in the blockhole, on middle. Brassell takes a step or two down the track and cannot get his bat down in time to keep it out. Jack hears the death rattle and Prenelan is on a hat-trick now.

OUT! CAUGHT! JJ Smit holes out. Prenelan fires in a full ball, on middle. Smit tries to get under the ball and launch it downtown but fails to get any sort of elevation on the shot. Hits it flat and straight down the throat of long on, where Jason Smith gobbles it up.

FOUR! Scythed away. Fractionally short, outside off. Smit hangs back and makes use of the width on offer as he slams it wide of point for a boundary.

Flighted up, on off. Ruben powers the drive down to long on for a single.

At pace, very full, on off. Ruben smashes it along the ground to long off for a single.

FOUR! Runs for the batter, moral victory for the bowler. A well-disguised slower one, on a back of a length, on off. Ruben Trumpelmann takes a step back in the crease and sets himself up for the pull. He is undone by the slowness of the ball and just hangs his bat out in the end. A top edge is found but the ball sails over the head of the keeper and the short third fielder stands no chance either.

Kwena goes searching for the yorker but ends up serving a full toss, on off. Smit slices it off the outer half to deep point for a single.

Wide! Flirting with the tramline on off, on a back of a length. Smit flashes but fails to make any connection. Wide given and Kwena is not happy with the call.

A lot straighter now and fuller as well, on middle and leg. Trumpelmann gets the front leg out of the way and lofts it down to long on for one.

A big swing and a miss! Pushes it across the right-hander, on a back of a length. Trumpelmann leaves nothing in the tank and swings with all his might but can only connect with thin air.

Wide! Kwena goes searching for the yorker but drifts beyond the tramline outside off.

SIX! Ruben Trumpelmann gets in on the six-hitting act now. Kwena Maphaka bangs it into the deck but fails to get it high enough to trouble the tall batter. Ruben stays put and nails the pull well over the deep square leg fence.

Nails a wide yorker, does Fortuin. JJ fails to reach out.

SIX! Clean as a whistle. Fired in by Fortuin, right in the slot, on middle. Smit clears the front leg and swings through the line as he wallops it over long on for half a dozen.

FOUR! Dispatched! Dropped short by Fortuin, on off. Smit lets the ball come on and frees his arms to cut it to the right of the backward point fielder. It races away in a flash.

Full and speared in at the pads, swept straight to short fine leg.

Not in control but safe. Looped up by Bjorn, on off. Smit throws his hands at the ball and it is skewed off the outer half but he manages to clear the inner ring. It drops safely beyond the reach of the two fielders behind point. Two taken.

SIX! That has gone back a long way. A half-tracker by Fortuin, on middle. Smit rocks back and with a solid base, he smokes it way over deep mid-wicket for a biggie.

Half a shout for caught behind but turned down. Angled in at the hips, on the shorter side. Ruben Trumpelmann swivels for the pull but fails to make any connection. There was a noise but it seemed to have been from the ball grazing the thigh pad.

OUT! TAKEN! Lack of communication, but a collision is averted, and the catch is completed. Jansen takes pace off and floats it up there, outside off. Green hangs low and reaches out, swinging at the ball. He is early to swing through the line, and one hand comes off the bat handle. It is skied behind point off the outer half of the blade. Connor Esterhuizen goes after it from backward point while Kwena Maphaka also converges from deep third. Kwena keeps charging in but manages to avoid bumping into Connor, who gets under the high ball and takes a good catch.

Slips in a full ball at pace and aimed at the sticks. Smit forces it towards wide mid off and crosses over.

Hurls it on a short of a good length, on off. JJ punches it sweetly and the ball pings off his blade but he picks out Dewald Brevis at backward point.

FOUR! A shot of high class. Bosch pitches it up, on off. Green presents the full face of the blade and lets his hands flow into the shot. Drives it all along the ground and beats the despairing dive of Duan Jansen at mid on.

Hits the back of a length, on off. Smit stands tall on his toes and punches it wide of cover before hurrying to the other end. There is a shy at the batting end but the throw misses the stumps. It would not have mattered anyway, as Green was in.

OUT! CAUGHT AND BOWLED! Prenelan Subrayen tosses it up, full and on middle, inviting Gerhard Erasmus to go for the big shot. The Namibia captain swings hard, but there's neither the conviction nor the connection he was looking for. The ball balloons straight back towards the bowler, who barely has to move before completing a simple return catch. Erasmus' stay at the crease comes to an end.

HOW DID THAT MISS! Prenelan Subrayen fires it in full and around leg, catching Zane Green on the move. Green walks forward, looking to flick it away, but misses completely. The ball sneaks past the stumps, and Rubin Hermann cannot gather it, allowing the batters to scamper through. It's given as a run. Perhaps there was some wood.

Shortish and on middle, Erasmus goes back and punches it to long on for one.

Loopy and full around off, Gerhard Erasmus gets down low and brings out the slog sweep. He gets underneath it nicely, sending the ball towards deep mid-wicket. The fielder moves across and keeps it inside the boundary, but the batters come back comfortably for two.

Flatter and full, around leg, Green eases it off his pads, towards mid-wicket, for a single. He hands the strike back to his skipper, who was showing great intent before the rain break.

FOUR! BANG! Back of a length and around off, Gerhard Erasmus shuffles back to make room and frees his arms. He stays on top of the bounce and drills it straight down the ground, and it races away to the boundary. Another solid blow from the Namibia captain.

SIX! DISPATCHED! Short in length and around off, Gerhard Erasmus picks up the length early, stays deep in his crease and turns into the shot before hammering the pull over square leg. Cleanly struck and into the stands for a maximum. And now the rain is beginning to fall a little heavier again.

He could have taken a second to steady himself, but it is easy to say in hindsight.

Oh, that could have gone anywhere. Kwena cleverly rolls his fingers over the ball and gets the ball to jump on the batter off a length, on the off stump line. Kruger presents a straight bat for the block but the blade turns in his hand as the ball rears up. It pops up off the outer half but lands safely on the off side.

SHOUT FOR LBW! Bjorn Fortuin spots Malan Kruger's charge and responds with the arm ball, firing it in around off. Kruger looks to drive but misses, and the ball thuds into his pads. There is a loud appeal, but the umpire is unmoved. Kruger is well down the track, while the impact also appears to be outside off.

OUT! CAUGHT BEHIND! Kwena Maphaka finally gets the breakthrough after South Africa's bowlers have toiled hard for it. He steams in from around the wicket and spears in a length ball on middle. It pitches and straightens, catching Alexander Volschenk in an awkward position as he looks to work it across the line. The bat goes nowhere, but there is just enough of an edge for the ball to carry through to Rubin Hermann, who makes no mistake. Namibia lose their first wicket for 51, still needing 298 from the 349-run target.

Kruger pushes out in front of his body with a straight bat but the ball beats him on the inside edge and sneaks past the leg stump. Rubin Hermann is blindsided by the batter standing in front of him, and he stands no chance as the ball flies past his left thigh and races behind to the fence.

DROPPED! Jason Smith did all the hard work but could not hang on. Tossed up, on off. Alexander Volschenk steps out and launches it downtown. Hits it flat towards long off, where Smith sprints to his right and tumbles away to take the catch, but the ball bursts through his fingers and drops to the ground. They cross.

Oh, that was close. Very full, speared in at the toes. Kruger hurriedly gets his bat down and squeezes it out off an inside edge behind square leg. They risk the second run and Kruger gets home with a dive. A direct hit could have had Malan in trouble.

FOUR! Short in length and outside off, Malan Kruger hangs back and uses the width and pace on offer. He opens the face of the bat and steers it fine, threading it past the infield and well beyond the reach of deep third. The ball races away to the fence.

MISSED RUN-OUT CHANCE! A touch short and on off, Alexander Volschenk drops the ball softly into the cover region and immediately calls for a run. The fielder charges in, gathers and throws at the bowler's end, but misses the stumps. The replays confirm just how costly that miss could have been. Had the throw been on target, Volschenk would have been comfortably run out.

TERRIFIC TAKE! Kwena Maphaka digs in a short ball around leg and gets it to climb sharply off the surface. Malan Kruger has to duck underneath it, but Rubin Hermann reacts brilliantly behind the stumps, jumping high and stretching every inch to take it cleanly. Excellent wicketkeeping, although the umpire calls it a wide for height.

Volschenk continues to be troubled by the short ball every now and then. Maphaka hits the deck hard and gets the ball to climb steeply, on middle. Alexander just about manages to drop his wrists in time as the ball flies past him.

Stays full in search of swing, around off. Kruger leans on and connects cleanly on the drive. Bjorn Fortuin is swift to his left at mid off and even though his knee seemed to get stuck in the turf, he manages to make a sliding stop. Just a single.

Very full, on off. Malan digs it out in front of mid on and hurries to the other end.

That is a superb take! Jansen dishes out the bumper, around leg. Malan tries to hook it over long leg but misses. The ball keeps climbing on its way to the keeper. Rubin Hermann leaps and gathers it by sticking out the right mitt over his head. The side-on replays indicate that the ball was passing over the batter's head and it should have been called a wide.

Nice and tight, on a back of a length, Malan does not have any room to work with and he can only nurdle it to square leg.

Wide! Banged in short but down leg and it looked too high as well. Kruger pivots on the back foot for the pull but fails to make any connection.

This is on a shortish length, on middle. Malan hops inside the line of the ball and attempts the glance but the ball catches him on the gloves and drops square on the leg side. Volschenk is keen for a single but he is sent back by his partner.

Across off, on a nagging length. Malan stays back and stabs it down on the off side.

Zips through! Another effort delivery by Bosch as he bends his back and slams the deck hard. Volschenk stays beside the line of the ball and gets his hands high to play the upper cut but the ball keeps climbing and the batter is also beaten for pace. Rubin Hermann gathers it over his head.

Good fielding. A heavy ball by Bosch and gets it high enough to challenge the batter. Volschenk hops to ride the bounce and steers it behind point. Dewald Brevis gets low to his left there and slides to prevent the single.

Hits the bat hard, does Bosch, on a good length, outside off. Volschenk stays rooted to the crease and pushes it to the man at a catching cover, rather hurriedly.

Delivers it on a good length, outside off. Volschenk extends his hands and plays a punchy drive but there is no way through for him as the cover fielder mops it up.

This seams away a bit off the deck, on a nagging length, on middle. Kruger tries to defend but due to the seam movement, he cuts across the line of the ball. It squirts off the outer half to point.

Keeps it around the off stump. Volschenk taps it down the deck with the full face of the bat. As soon as the ball gets past Jansen, he sets off quickly and makes it to the other end.

Pushes the length up, does Jansen, attacking the front pad. Volschenk brings his bat out in front and knocks it a bit uppishly but well in front of mid off and away from the bowler's reach.

Kwena Maphaka is late to move to his left, and even though he gets low, the ball gets past him, allowing the batters to pick up three runs.

Cat-and-mouse battle! Bosch spots Kruger walking down the track and he responds with a short ball but it is too high and the line is down leg as well. Malan ducks under it and it has been called a wide.

Drifts down leg, on the fuller side. Volschenk helps it down to deep fine leg and picks up a single.

Honing in on the off stump, on a good length. Volschenk covers the line and stabs it down the deck.

Volschenk was in all sorts of discomfort there. Bosch bashes the hard length, over off. Alexander hops to deal with it but the ball keeps rising and climbs onto him. He is late to drop his wrists but luckily for him, the ball does not graze the bat or the glove on its way to the keeper.

Lands it on a length around middle, shaping away, and once again Malan Kruger is squared up in defense. This time, though, he gets the bat behind the ball and steers it safely into the off side.

The line drifts slightly towards the leg side, and Malan Kruger is quick to latch onto it. He gets across to the length ball and works it neatly through square leg, finding enough space to come back for a couple.

Quite wide outside off, full in length, this time Malan lets it be.

Play and a miss! The batter wasn't quite sure how to play that one.

WHAT A DELIVERY! A touch short and around off, but it nips away late and squares up Malan Kruger in defense. The ball zips past the outside edge, leaving both Rubin Hermann behind the stumps and the slip cordon appealing loudly. The finger stays down, though, and rightly so. That was simply too good for the bat, beating Kruger all ends up.

Play and a miss! Duan Jansen pitches it up and outside off, Kruger tries to drive but gets nowhere near the ball.

Fuller and on middle, Kruger shows the full face of the bat and pushes it down the ground. The mid-off fielder cuts it off with a slide and they get a run.

Nearly rolls back onto the stumps! Fractionally short and around off, the ball climbs awkwardly onto Malan Kruger. He is up on his toes, hurried into the defense. The ball drops behind him and trickles perilously close to the stumps, but Kruger gets away with it.

Serves it on a length and on off, Alexander Volschenk drives it to the left of mid off and sets off for a single.

Superb delivery. Corbin Bosch hits the pitch hard, sending down a heavy length ball that jags back sharply to surprise Alexander Volschenk. He is caught on the crease and has to bring his bat down hurriedly, defending it off the upper half of the blade.

Loose from Alexander Volschenk. Short and well outside off, inviting the cut, but he reaches for it from the back foot and fails to make any connection.

A sharp, rising short ball around leg, Kruger is caught on his toes and has little time to react. He gets the bat in the way somehow, fending it down towards square leg.
