India vs England Highlights, 2nd Test, Day 5: India defeat England by 151 runs to take 1-0 series lead

England make a major bolwing change; Moeen Ali comes into attack. He had put England on top in the final session of the fourth day. Can he do the same thing today? Let's find out.

India's 2nd-innings lead goes past 200 as Shami and Bumrah stitch a 20-run stand for the 9th wicket. 

A sharp bouncer from Mark Wood that jumps up to hit Bumrah on helmet. The Indian qucik is getting examined by the physio. Meanhwile, the umpires call for a drinks break. IND: 220/8, lead by 193 runs.

Bumrah attacked Anderson with a barrage of bouncers and now, the Indian quick is out to bat. The hosts are trying their best to get the remaining two wickets but the Indian tail is showing their Test batting skills. Great competition going on.

Mark Wood has come into the attack. He had hurt his shoulder yesterday while stopping a boundary. But now he is reeay to go.

The hosts bring up 200 runs on the board and their lead swells past 175. Shami and Ishant and Shami are doing extremely well and need to hold for as long as they can. IND: 207/7, lead by 180 runs.

Shami goes off the mark with a boundary. That was a pretty amazing shot. Length ball, Shami goes berserk and slams it through point.

More runs for India and that's a great news. Ishant swings widely and gets a thick edge over slips. IND: 198/7, lead by 171 runs.

Rishabh Pant was the last batter in the India line-up. Now, the onus is on the tail-enders - Ishant, Shami, Bumrah and Siraj. They need to contribute to India's lead.

Oh that's was a great shot from Ishant. Too full  from Anderson, Ishant plays it through the point region. Four handy runs for India, IND: 192/6, lead by 165 runs.

Stepped down and smiked through extra cover for a boundary. That's the confident and fearless Rishabh Pant, ladies and gentleman. No one can stop him from playing this ferocious shot. Superb!!

While Rishabh Pant keeps adding runs to India's lead, Ishant Sharma is following a defensive approch. The host pacers are after him and attacking him bouncers. But the pacer is also showing shome great resistance here. India: 183/6, lead by 156 runs.

“It's looking quite good. A few indentations but nothing to let the batsmen think this is going to be difficult for batting. But there are other parts which have some wear and tear - the bowler's followthroughs. Moeen Ali exploited that. There is no Ashwin for India to exploit it against right handers. Jadeja can exploit against the left-hander, but when he bowls, India will be hoping he bowls to Moeen Ali, Sam Curran than Rory Burns,” says Michael Holding on Sky Sports.

There are many questions and all the answers will be revelaed once the action begins at Lord's.

Moeen Ali changed the course of India's innings by getting two wickets - that of Rahane and Jadeja (which by the way was an absolute ripper). So keeping that in mind, will India miss having Ashwin in their XI? They do have Ravindra Jadeja, who can really make it tweak, but the thought of Ashwin performing on a fifth day pitch would have made for an exciting prospect. The off-spinner would be smacking his lips looking at the ball from Ali that got Jadeja. 

The pitch is looking good. There are a few marks but nothing for the batsmen to worry too much about, says Michael Holding. Having said that, remember how a few balls behaved odd yesterday? The one that got Pujara out exploded, while a few kept low against Rahul as well. However, there are some areas - the marks around the stumps - will offer the batsmen a challenging time.

It's a good time to be fan of Test cricket. Yesterday, West Indies and Pakistan produced a thrilling finish to a Test match as Kemar Roach played the innings of his life. With one gripping finish just a day ago, the action now shifts to Lord's. The stage is set for another riveting finish.

Already Ravi Shastri was seen speaking to Rishabh Pant a little while ago. And just now, Virat Kohli was spotted addressing his teammates. Words are a good starting point, but he would want his batsman and bowlers convert them into a solid performance.

Only on three occasions at Lord's, has a side defended a score in the fourth innings of 200 or less. So that perhaps offer a bit of a guide that anything over 200 gets pretty interesting. If India can get themselves a lead of something near 220, a cracking game is going to be on. In case you missed it, at the moment, India's lead is 154.

Former England batsman Nick Knight says there is a slim chance of Mark Wood bowling today as the fast bowler was seen with a heavy strapping on his right shoulder. Wood chased a ball heading to the boundary, but upon the dive, collided with the advertisement boards and was immediately seen favouring his shoulder. He eventually walked off the field.
