Well this is carnage now. India are 103/0 in 13.2 overs. Rauf digs it in and the ball soars over Gill and Rizwan to the boundary. This partnership has reached 103 in just 83 deliveries. 

6, 6, 4 is how that over ends. Rohit has soared to 44 off 41, Gil at the other end on 50 off 37. This partnership is just four runs away from crossing 100 and we aren't past the first 15 overs yet.

Another half tracker from Shadab and Rohit pulls him over midwicket yet again. What is Shadab doing here?

Shadab bowls short, which is the worst thing you can do to yourself as a spinner when bowling to Rohit Sharma. The Indian captain mows him over cow corner.

Second consecutive half century Gill and this one has been full of class. It has taken just 37 balls for him to get there, a half century that has come at T20 pace.

India 77/0 in 12 overs. Rohit top edges his pull shot but such is the pace from Rauf that it almost sails over the boundary behind the wicketkeeper. He moves to 27 off 37, Gill at the other end on 48 off 35. Shadab Khan will bowl the first over of spin now.

Faheem sends it angling onto Gill's thigh pad, Gill plays it fine late and moves to 46.

Rohit moves to 18 off 30 in that over. Gill on 41 off 30. India have maintained a run rate of over six in the first 10 overs which is not bad at all. One can say it has thus far gone the opposite of how the first match of the tournament between these two sides had gone. Naseem has left the field and Faheem continues which means that Haris Rauf could come in for the 12th over now.

Good length from Naseem, but Rohit's pull shot has come into play. Not a bad ball from Naseem but Rohit was waiting for it, sits back and sends it leg side.

A gift at last from Naseem for Rohit, strays onto the pads and the Indian captain clips it over mid-wicket.

Gill has reached 41 in 30, Rohit still on 10 off 24. It was Rohit who had fired off to a quick start but Gill has just taken over since then and not looked back. Anything with width has been sent to the boundary, with a nice helping of luck as well. Naseem comes back for his fifth over.

India go past 50 with that shot. Gill himself has moved to 39 with that one. Width from Faheem and Gill cuts it off the backfoot to beat point and pick another boundary.

How unlucky is Naseem Shah today. Another outside edge for Gill off the last ball of that over and it beats the diving second slip fielder. No boundary there but in another universe, Gill is back in the hut and Naseem has got the breakthrough and maybe even more in this over for Pakistan. Gill on 35 off 24, Rohit on 10 off 24.

Width from Naseem for the third ball of the eighth, Gill edges his cut and what in the world happened there. The ball went right in between the first slip and second and both players were left looking at each other. Rizwan had made a half-hearted dive/duck towards the ball, wonder if that made any difference. How lucky was Gill there!

His first cut against Naseem earlier was half-hearted but he knew everything about this and more. Sends it careening past the point fielder to the boundary. India 42/0 in 7.1 overs. 

Afridi has left the field and so Faheem will bowl his first ball of the match to Gill.

The sixth over is a maiden, India 37/0. Afridi may have been given a few blows but Naseem is just unplayable at the other end. The late swing seems to beat Rohit almost every ball of the this over. The Indian captain stuck on 10 off 23, Gill on 25 off 13 at the other end. 

India are 37/0 in 5 overs. Gill has smashed Afridi in this over and he has raced to 25 off 13, Rohit at the other end on 10 off 17. Gill punishes a full delivery from Afridi for a wonderful cover drive to the boundary. Then he hits the last ball to the other side of the cover fielder.

Gill runs down the pitch to Afridi of all people and lifts him emphatically over his own head to the boundary. The Indian openers have come out with the intention of answering fire with fire.

India 24/0 in 4 overs. The last ball spat up on Rohit and just went past his outside edge on the way to the keeper. He also had a pretty tight leave off the first ball but, encouragingly for India, seemed to know exactly what he was doing. 

It has been a good fourth over from Naseem, just one run given from a wide. Rohit comes down the track for a big one off the second last ball, the balls goes behind to Rizwan and Pakistan appeal. Umpire shakes his head and Babar takes the review. No spike on the snicko and so Rohit is safe. 

Gill has raced to 13 off 7, he has smacked 12 runs in this over off Afridi. Rohit at the other end on 10 off 11. The Indian captain just under 70 runs away from 10,000 ODI runs.

Afridi goes full slanting across the line, Gill times it perfectly to send the ball past mid-off.
