India out-batted the South Africans, beating them by 28 runs to take a 1-0 lead in the three-T20 series in Johannesburg on Sunday. Batting first, India flattered to deceive, squandering a flying start, but eventually managed to pull themselves together to end at 203 for five in their 20 overs on a very good batting surface in the first of the three-T20s here at the Wanderers on Sunday. Shikhar Dhawan top-scored with a 39-ball 72. Bhuvneshwar Kumar then took 5/24 to help India win by 28 runs. India are now 1-0 up in the three-match series.
