Hayden Barbulovic is a South Australian wicketkeeper-batter who has quickly established himself as one of the promising young players in the state's pathway. A left-handed batter from Tea Tree Gully District Cricket Club, Barbulovic was part of South Australia's title-winning campaign at the 2025 National Under-19 Championships, where his performances earned him a place in the Team of the Tournament. He also produced the highest score for South Australia in the final, making 55 against Victoria Metro.
His progress continued during the 2025-26 season, when Barbulovic was recognised as the leading Under-19 player in South Australian Premier Cricket, receiving the Jason Gillespie Medal. The award capped a productive season for the young wicketkeeper-batter and further underlined his standing within the state's emerging talent pool.
Barbulovic's development subsequently took him into the national setup, with Australia selecting him for the U19 tour of India in September and October 2026. The four-week tour featured three 50-over matches and two four-day games against India U19, giving the South Australian another opportunity to develop his game in different conditions. He scored 51 runs across his 2 innings at a strike rate of 130.77, with a high score of 40 off 24 balls in the 1st Youth ODI.
