Jacob Pietz

Jacob Pietz is a Victorian off-spinner who has emerged through the state's junior cricket pathway with Camberwell Magpies Cricket Club. A right-arm off-spinner, Pietz made a significant impact at the 2025-26 National Under-17 Championships, finishing as the tournament's leading wicket-taker with 17 wickets for Victoria Metro. His performances earned him a place in the Team of the Championships and helped establish him among the leading spin prospects in his age group.

His progress was recognised when he was selected for Cricket Australia's U19 Men's Talent Camp in Adelaide in March 2026. The camp brought together 25 players identified from the National U17 Championships as Australia began its preparations for the 2028 U19 World Cup cycle, giving Pietz an opportunity to work within the national high-performance setup.

Pietz's development continued with his inclusion in Australia's 16-member U19 squad for the multi-format tour of India in 2026. The tour, featuring three Youth ODIs and two four-day matches against India U19, represents another important step in the Victorian spinner's progression through the Australian pathway.
